NSS Labs performed an independent test of theFortinet FortiGate 3000D v5.4.0 GA (IPS engine v3.00166). In order for enterprises to compare how policy changes impact security effectiveness, the product was tested using both recommended and tuned policies. Customers can access both Test Reports.

The product was subjected to thorough testing at the NSS facility in Austin, Texas, based on the Next Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS) Methodology v2.0. The tests were conducted free of charge and NSS did not receive any compensation in return for Fortinet’s participation.
