Breach Detection: Don't Fall Prey to Targeted Attacks

Report Overview

Conventional endpoint AV solutions provide inadequate exploit protection, and traditional network security solutions are trivial to evade when it comes to client-side exploits, the favorite attack vector of threat actors perpetrating targeted persistent attacks (TPA) or APT.

The solution could be found in “next-generation” threat prevention mechanisms that understand the nature and intent of newer zero-day and targeted attacks. NSS Labs refers to this new class of protection products as “breach detection systems (BDS),” but are such products the new silver bullet, or just the latest white elephant?
