NSS Labs Testing Services leverages the experienced personnel and high-end equipment already in place at the firm’s research facility in Austin, Texas to help clients drive better outcomes with their testing projects.

Not every organization has the time, expertise or resources to perform their own testing. NSS Labs can support your organization by providing confidential, standard or custom test plans, expertise on how to set up and run testing and actually perform some of the more difficult testing projects to augment the work your team is already doing. Our custom testing can include security effectiveness, performance, manageability and financial and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis for the products you’re considering.

Private testing programs can include any of the following:

  • Security effectiveness against malware, phishing, exploits, etc.
  • Throughput & performance measurement. What can the product realistically achieve?

Private testing services costs are based upon the number of use cases and time involved configuring the environment and products, executing the appropriate tests, and analyzing the results. Testing is anticipated to leverage existing NSS Labs methodologies, and shall include relevant content from our attack libraries and vulnerable target machines that correspond to client asset deployments.

Proof of Concept Testing
After short-listing several products, now you’re ready to see if they’ll perform as needed under your live
network conditions. But it’s risky to put the products in production without further testing. Real-world proof of concept testing leverages a replica of your network environment to safely evaluate the candidate products.

Vendors release updates to products continually. History has shown that these updates can dramatically
affect the stability and performance of the product. Remove the risk by testing updates before deploying
