NSS ISSUES CORRECTIVE STATEMENT ABOUT ITS AEP TESTING OF CROWDSTRIKE’S FALCON
In February 2017, NSS Labs issued its first Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) Test Reports and Security Value Map, which included CrowdStrike’s Falcon Platform. NSS’s testing of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform was incomplete and the product was not properly configured with prevention capabilities enabled. In addition to the results having already been acknowledged as partially incomplete, we now acknowledge they are not accurate and confirm that they do not meet our standards for publication.
The security effectiveness score, caution rating and total cost of ownership of the testing of the CrowdStrike’s Falcon Platform are not accurate and are hereby retracted. The updated test reports and Security Value Map are available at https://research.nsslabs.com/library/endpoint-security/advanced-endpoint-protection/
NSS extends its sincere apology to CrowdStrike for the publication of inaccurate test results of CrowdStrike’s Falcon Platform.
