Vulnerability Assessment: eEye Retina Network Security Scanner v5.10

eEye's Retina Network Security Scanner v5.10 has undergone comprehensive evaluation by NSS Labs’ as a vulnerability assessment product, for use on internal networks. This PCI Suitability report provides detailed validation of the product's capabilities relative to the PCI DSS v1.1, along with recommended configuration settings.

Support for PCI DSS requirements was solid. NSS Labs found that the Retina Scanner v5.10 successfully passed 16 of 16 DSS requirements, and supported 45 of 47 others indirectly. There were only minor failures as the eEye product sailed through the process of validation without any major identified issues. Overall, out of 63 tested requirements, the product supports 61 (97%).
