Unified Threat Management: IBM Proventia Network Multi-Function Security System MX-3006 Q3 2008
In Q3 of 2008, NSS Labs performed comprehensive testing of the IBM ISS Proventia MX3006 appliance against our Unified Threat Management (UTM) testing methodology. This report contains the conclusions and associated data from a series of exacting tests performed on a device installed in our real-world test lab. This NSS Labs report provides readers with empirically validated evidence about a product's features and capabilities.The MX3006 breezed through NSS Labs' UTM certification, successfully passing 160 of 161 test requirements. The MX3006 blocked 94.2% of the 396 exploits targeting a wide range of target systems and protected against 95.6% of the tested malware.
