NSS Labs Recommend RatingDuring Q3 2010, NSS Labs performed an independent test of the McAfee M-8000 as part of our Network IPS Group Test. NSS Labs evaluated the product configured with the default, "out-of-the-box" settings, then again as optimally tuned by McAfee prior to testing to provide a range of information on key IPS security effectiveness and performance dimensions. 

While the Network IPS Group Test Report provides comparative information about those products, this Individual Test Report provides further detailed information not available elsewhere.
