Host Intrusion Prevention: Corporate Endpoint Protection Products Group Test Q2 2010

IT managers are inundated by a wide array of endpoint security products all claiming to offer the best protection. NSS Labs performed this group test to identify how effective the most popular corporate endpoint products are at protecting against client-side exploits.

Some of the key findings include:

  • Endpoint protection products ranged in effectiveness from 29-100% when stopping exploits.
  • Between 70-75% of all organizations are under-protected.
  • Keeping endpoint protection software up-to-date does not yield adequate protection against exploits.
